Let's be real for a moment.
No group has made the conscience decision to split their vote so that they will be a factor in both parties.
Groups of people have aligned themselves with a political party because that party was deemed to fit their values.
Dixiecrats left the Democratic party because of civil rights issues.
The "religious right" went to the Republican party because of "moral" issues.
Sure, the Black vote should not be in one basket, but stop acting as though others haven't heavily aligned themselves with one party.
Enough of the silliness.
Color me naive, but I don't think that anyone is saying that American Black culture has only one political interest.
What is being said is that the GOP is hostile towards Blacks as a class. That's a different thing.
One of my issues in this mess in the "Blacks and GOP and Dems" foolishness is the strong belief that Blacks are voting the way they do just because they are uninformed, or misled or stupid.
It. Just. Ain't. So.

Eminem is black. I'm not going with his political party. So if the nonsense has to stop it has to do with the idea that black culture is too small to have more than one class of politcal interests.
